The doors of the Enshrined Hall slowly opened.
Golden light spilled across the marble floors as Qian Daoliu walked inside. His steps were steady calm, as always.
yet today, there was something unusual.
Cradeled in his arms was a small infant wrapped in simple cloth, sleeping quietly.
One by one the elders seated within the hall opened their eyes.
Golden crocodile douluo was the first to speak. He leaned back slightly, eyes flickering towards the baby. And then, he laughed
"Big brother" he said casually, "don't tell me you went out for a night walk and ended up kidnapping someone's child on your way back"
A faint ripple of amusement passed through the hall, and everyone started laughing.
Qian Daoliu glanced at him coldly
"I found him in a forest outside spirit city, last night."
The laughter vanished and silence filled the place.
Qingluan douluo frowned slightly
"In a forest?, that to at night?"
"Yes" Qian Daoliu replied
"He was left their alone"
Fiery lion douluo snorted
"Abandoned in a forest at night?" He looked at Qian Daoliu,"if you hadn't passed by, the child might already be in the stomach of some spirit beast"
Glowing feather douluo spoke
"why give birth, if you can't even raise the child and abandon him in a forest to die"
Qian jun douluo stepped forward, his voice calm "did you check around the place where you found him? Any means of identification?"
"There were none" Qian Daoliu said calmly.
"No token, no trail, nothing. No way of identifying him."
Jian mo douluo extended a hand and gently placed it near the child, releasing a trace of soul power.
The hall remained silent.
After a moment, Jiang Mo withdrew his hand and shook his head.
"Nothing unusual" he said
"His body is weak, his soul power dormant, completely ordinary."
Glowing feather douluo nodded in agreement "I sense nothing special either. No abnormal bloodlines, no hidden fluctuations."
Golden crocodile douluo looked at the child again, surprised "So, just an ordinary baby?"
"Yes" Qian Daoliu replied
The other elders exchanged glances.
Then Qian Daoliu spoke again, his voice steady and decisive " I will raise him"
The hall froze.
Golden crocodile douluo blinked
"Big brother you mean , to adopt him as your son?"
"Yes"
Qian jun frowned.
"This is not small matter, big brother. You are the hall master and the High priest of hall of Enshrinements."
"I am very well aware of who I am and what position I have here" Qian Daoliu replied
"I have decided to adopt him, he trusted me when I bought him out of the forest, he has been abandoned once I can't abandon him once more is unacceptable"
Finally golden crocodile douluo sighed and smiled wryly. "To think even you would act on kindness alone."
"Since you have decided to become his father at least give the child a name we can't keep calling him the child" said Qing luan douluo
Qian Daoliu looked down at the child who gave him a soft smile.
"He was found beneath the moon" he said,
"And since he is my son he shall take my surname Qian" he continued
"His name will be Qian yinyue"
Yin for shadow / silver
Yue for the moon.
At that moment, the baby stired slightly, his small hand gripping Qian Daoliu's sleeve.
The old man paused.
For reasons he could not explain, his grip tightened just a little.
From that day onwards, the servants of spirit hall were instructed.
The child was to be treated with respect. Whenever they saw him carried through the hall, they bowed and greeted him respectfully "Second young master."
And so, unnoticed by fate itself, an ordinary child stepped into the heart of the Enshrined hall, his future still hidden, his destiny yet to awaken.
