Noland's face was deathly pale as he stared at the crushed medicine box on the floor.
"What in the world did you give them?"
Nick grabbed Noland by the collar and roared.
But deep within a pair of dark gold beast pupils, a sneer flickered.
In the distance, the Weasel assistant cowered in a corner, trembling.
"It's the medicine Jiu Su sent me. She said to give it to them after they were successfully soothed."
Noland said, his voice trembling.
He'd kept the box of medicine in his pocket the whole time and had never once taken it out.
Nick said angrily, "What the hell is Jiu Su trying to pull? Did she think their deaths wouldn't be tragic enough, so she had to go and drug them?"
"She worked so hard to help soothe Lei Ya and the others. There's no way she'd harm them."
"Something must have gone wrong."
Noland tried to rush into the wreckage to retrieve the medicine box, but Nick pulled him back.
"Going in there now is a death sentence. Get out of here, now!"
