A childish voice rang in his ear, the words slurred. The little chubby boy he was holding up by the clothes reached out with his small hands, looking overjoyed to see him.
Looking at the little tyke before him,
Javier Sinclair's perpetually cold face visibly softened.
He spoke in a low voice.
"You recognize me?"
The little doughball was delighted.
He waved his little hands.
"My daddy... The Archfiend... my real daddy."
The corner of Javier Sinclair's mouth twitched. He wasn't angry; instead, he started to laugh. "Little whelp, if I'm The Archfiend, then you must be The Little Fiend. Of course I'm your real dad. Who else would be?"
It seemed that woman had been calling him The Archfiend behind his back quite a lot. His son's fluency was the best proof.
