Celeste Grant was baffled by the way he was staring at her.
She pressed a finger against his chest.
"Archfiend, what are you thinking about, staring at me so strangely? Don't tell me you're…"
She held a hand over her chest, giving him a look that clearly said, 'Are you thinking naughty thoughts?'
Javier Sinclair chuckled, placing a large hand on her head. "Rein in those thoughts of yours. I'm not that impatient."
'Except when he *is* impatient, then all bets are off.'
Celeste Grant finished the thought for him.
Celeste Grant smiled faintly.
"So, what were you thinking? Tell me."
Javier Sinclair reached out, pinched her chin, and leaned in as if to tell her, only to stop. "I can't tell you that."
"You have secrets from me? Now I want to know even more."
She grabbed his wrist and pulled herself closer. "Hurry up and tell me. What were you thinking just now? What kind of secret could I not know?"
