Looking at the candies in the basket, Celeste Grant glanced at Javier Sinclair and smiled faintly. She reached in and took one out.
"Would you like some candy, Exalted One? Want one?"
Javier Sinclair shook his head slightly.
"I do not eat candy."
'He's not a child, after all.'
"But they're very sweet."
Celeste Grant unwrapped a piece as she spoke and held it to his lips. "Just try it. You're the one who bought them, after all. I'm just regifting your own present."
Javier Sinclair said flatly, "I am a Demon Cultivator, not one of those bald donkeys."
"Pfft! Bald donkeys." Celeste Grant laughed at his words. Her fingers slid from his shoulder to rest on his chest. "Actually, an ascetic Buddha Son wouldn't be so bad, not with a face like yours, Exalted One. If you were a Buddhist Practitioner, I'd definitely pull you down from your divine pedestal and make you break your vows for me."
