She nodded readily. "Alright, let's see him then."
Rose's mouth twitched. The way she said it, it was as if seeing the Dragon God required *her* permission.
Evangeline followed Rose out of the room. The moment she stepped outside, she saw the females who had just moved into the Dragon God Fortress today lined up, standing obediently in the courtyard. Warriors were inspecting their rooms, seemingly trying to find the source of the night's strange disturbance.
The females watched Evangeline being led away by Rose, their gazes strange.
They all knew Rose was responsible for the Dragon God's daily life. For her to suddenly lead a female away—they wouldn't believe it was for any reason other than to see the Dragon God. But on what grounds? They had all arrived together. Why should *she* get to see the Dragon God first?
