Faye Vaughn kept her eyes downcast and said politely, "Thank you."
Seeing her distant attitude, Wyatt Hawthorne's expression cooled. "Don't mention it."
The car began to move slowly.
They were silent for the entire ride.
Faye Vaughn gazed out the window. Her delicate profile was as expressionless as a beautiful porcelain doll.
For some reason, seeing her like this ignited a nameless fury in Wyatt Hawthorne.
She was usually so full of life. Even when she was feigning timidity or playing the victim, she was still vibrant, nimble, and charming.
He was completely unaccustomed to seeing her so lifeless.
"President Hawthorne, we've arrived."
The driver had brought the car back to the Hawthorne Family villa.
Faye Vaughn finally snapped out of her daze and spoke softly, "Could you take me back to the set? I have work tomorrow."
But Wyatt Hawthorne raised his voice to the driver, "You can get out."
