Faye Vaughn pretended not to understand. "Mr. Shaw, are you saying you're confident you can sneak Liam Linden out from under the Hawthorne Group's tight surveillance? Forgive my bluntness, but I don't believe you."
Her attempt at reverse psychology wasn't particularly subtle, and Zane Shelby saw right through it. But he didn't mind. "Let's talk in person. I'm at the restaurant in The Grand Crest Hotel. Come over."
Faye Vaughn replied, feigning difficulty, "I'm under house arrest, too."
Zane Shelby's lips curled into a mocking smile. 'She's a shrewd one.' Not only did she want him to rescue Liam Linden, but she also wanted him to get her out. And she'd managed to convey it all without explicitly asking.
"Figure out a way to see me on your own. You have two hours." After sending the message, Zane Shelby flipped his phone face down on the table and ignored it.
Faye Vaughn knew the deal was set. Zane Shelby definitely had a way to get Liam Linden out.
