Liang Wan let her rage, sinking softly to the ground. She hung her head and said nothing, looking utterly wronged.
"Ah—Mrs. Liang, it's getting late! If we delay any longer, I'm afraid the Fourth Lady will be in grave danger. The most urgent matter is to rescue her immediately!"
A man had suddenly stood up, his expression worried and his tone urgent.
Liang Wan glanced over from the corner of her eye. It was Mrs. Zhang's cousin and Liang Jiao's biological father, General Wuwei. His expression was somewhat awkward; it was clear he had deliberated for a long time before finally speaking up.
Mrs. Zhang's tears paused for a moment, then she covered her face and began to sob even more violently.
'How ironic. He's certainly more of a father than Liang Cheng is.'
His abrupt interjection left Liang Cheng stunned.
General Wuwei glanced at Mrs. Zhang. "Mr. Liang, if you do not object, I am willing to do what I can to help search for the Fourth Lady."
