"What were the results?" Evan Keller asked the officer at the door.
The officer looked at the report in his hand and said, "The toxicology, pathology, and all other screenings came back negative. We can confirm it was Sudden Infant Death Syndrome."
It wasn't some grand conspiracy. The child was simply in poor health and passed away tragically.
"It took a long time to get these results," Zoe Sawyer couldn't help but say. "I thought it would take two or three days at most, but it's been nearly a week."
Evan Keller's tone was a bit resigned. "This is actually fast. It's only because of recent technological advancements. With the old tech, a test like this would have taken several weeks, maybe even months, to get results.
But now that the test results are in, we can finally close this case for good."
