When the car came to a steady stop at the gates of Jynsia U, the blush on Mia Grant's face still hadn't completely faded.
"Are you sure you don't want me to drive you in?" Yates Donovan glanced at the dark street ahead.
"No, it's fine."
Mia Grant unbuckled her seatbelt. "The dorms are really close to this gate. It's only a three or four-minute walk."
"But won't that be cold?" Yates Donovan propped his head on one hand, languidly watching her gather her things. "If you won't worry about yourself, then I'll have to worry about my wifey."
"You're already so delicate. What if the wind makes you feel unwell again?"
"..."
Mia Grant's face burned even hotter. At a loss for words, she could only shoot him a reproachful glare, willing him to stop calling her that.
'It sounds... weird.'
She wouldn't let him drive onto campus, and Yates Donovan didn't push it, but he had no intention of letting her walk in alone.
