The boar's charge was incredibly fierce. Though it missed Hua Xiao'Er, its momentum carried it onward, hurtling down the slope.
Meanwhile, Zhao Jun was on the opposite slope, watching the entire scene unfold with perfect clarity.
He watched as Hua Xiao'Er gave chase again, leaping up to take another bite.
With that bite, the dog got one of the boar's testicles in its mouth. Before he could swallow, the boar wheeled around and charged again. Hua Xiao'Er quickly spat out the prize and scrambled back up the slope.
"SQUEAL! SQUEAL..." The boar shrieked as it gave chase up the slope.
'Attaboy,' Zhao Jun cheered inwardly as he watched Hua Xiao'Er lead the boar up the slope.
This meant the boar was moving farther and farther away from him, not closer.
But Zhao Jun knew it was the best possible move for Hua Xiao'Er.
Uphill, the forest thinned out, with only sparse trees. It gave the dog more room to dodge and avoid injury when fighting the boar.
