Suddenly, at the far edge of her vision, she saw an endless cloud of dust rising into the air. As the dust billowed, towering trees toppled one after another, and the sky filled with countless flying creatures taking off in a panic.
"Ah!"
"Something's happening!"
"Brother Fei!"
Seeing the anomaly, Li Xiaohong leaped directly from the treetop. She dropped rapidly toward the ground, and just as she was about to land, she executed a spinning maneuver that brought her to an instant stop beside Shen Fei, where she shouted in alarm.
"What?"
A beast tide?
Hearing Li Xiaohong's alarmed voice, Shen Fei immediately pressed his ear to the ground. Then, he heard them: a series of seismic thuds traveling through the earth. He recognized the sound instantly—it was exactly the same as the one he had heard when the beast tide erupted in Qing City.
Holy shit, you can't be serious! Can our short little legs even handle a beast tide?
