Cheng Zongyang paid her no mind. With a chuckle, he reached out, scooped the little lass into his arms, and ignored her chirping protests. He planted a kiss on her little cheek and laughed. "See? Now you're smelly too."
"No, I'm not! I smell nice, and you're the smelly one, Big Brother! I'm going to go play with Sister."
"Want to hear a story, then?" Cheng Zongyang let go of her, allowing the little lass to run off. But just as expected, she stopped in her tracks, turned around, and quickly said, "Yes! What story is it?"
Cheng Zongyang didn't say a word, just turned his cheek to her.
Seeing this, the little lass giggled and ran over, planting a loud smack on her big brother's face. Then, with a hint of disgust, she wiped her mouth with the back of her hand. "Hmph. Now I'm all smelly."
