The Ice Queen asked Gu Sewei to stay behind for a private talk.
"Your Majesty, is there an important mission for me?" Gu Sewei asked.
The Ice Queen didn't mention a mission. Instead, she asked, "Weiwei, how long have you been with me?"
Gu Sewei found this a bit strange, but she answered honestly, "Ever since you brought me back from the Snowfield to the Ice and Snow City, I have been by your side. I believe it's been twenty... no, twelve years."
It took her a moment to recall the exact number.
She had almost said twenty years before remembering that the eight years spent inside the Time Secret Realm didn't count.
The Ice Queen sighed wistfully. "That's right, twelve years. You were just a little girl back then, and now you're all grown up."
Gu Sewei smiled and said, "Yes, I still remember the first day you brought me back to the Ice Jade Palace. Monis was still just an Apprentice Valkyrie back then."
