The middle-aged woman recognized Renee Jennings and walked up to greet her. "Hello there."
"Hello." Renee Jennings gave a slight nod, her gaze falling on the curly-haired cat in the woman's arms. "What an adorable little cat."
The middle-aged woman, dressed in a pale green cheongsam with a white fur shawl draped over her shoulders, elegantly stroked the curly-haired cat's back and smiled. "Adorable, yes, but also very mischievous."
"Quite playful." Renee Jennings had no intention of continuing the conversation. She said politely, "We have some work to do, so we won't interrupt your walk."
"Of course." The middle-aged woman nodded to her and said gently, "When you're done, if you don't mind, you're welcome to come over to my place for a cup of coffee."
"Thank you." Renee Jennings expressed her thanks and left.
Once they were a good distance away, Sawyer asked curiously, "Renee, do you know that woman?"
