Herbert Lee's words completely captivated Evelyn Hollis.
She looked at Herbert Lee, moved. "This is the first time I've met a man so considerate of me."
"Silly girl." Herbert Lee took her hand, his expression full of tenderness. "You're my girlfriend. Of course I should be considerate of you."
The waiter brought their food and placed it on the table, dish by dish.
After dinner, Herbert Lee brought up meeting his parents again. "Erin, please think about it. I want to give you a real sense of security, to show you that I'm serious about us."
"Okay, then." Evelyn Hollis nodded lightly. "I'll go home and think about it."
"Good." A gentle smile appeared on Herbert Lee's face. "I bought movie tickets. We can take a walk and go see a film."
Evelyn Hollis was becoming more and more impressed with him. "You've planned everything so thoughtfully."
Herbert Lee smiled. "It's what I should do."
