Quinn nodded its little head vigorously. "Of course! The nanny is so nice to me—nicer than the mistress and the young miss!"
Upon hearing this, Renee Jennings said gently, "The mistress told me things have been going missing from the house lately. Quinn, have you seen who's been taking them? Like money, things to put on your face, things to eat, or shiny things you wear on your hand."
Quinn blinked, thinking hard.
'Money?'
'Stuff for her face?'

Quinn seemed to recall something. Its eyes suddenly lit up, and it meowed excitedly. "I know! The young miss took all those things, but the mistress thinks the nanny stole them."
"Is that right?" Renee Jennings's brow furrowed slightly. "Quinn, can you tell me the details?"
As it turned out, Quinn knew everything. It carefully recounted the entire sequence of events.
Renee Jennings pressed her lips together, her gaze toward SizzlingPork taking on an almost imperceptible, probing quality.
