SugarfreeCola suddenly felt as disgusted as if she'd swallowed a fly.
"How could they lie to me like this?"
SugarfreeCola was furious. She shot to her feet. "No, I'm going to march right back there and demand answers!"
"If you confirm the apartment has nothing to do with your husband's family, what are you going to do?" Renee Jennings asked softly.
SugarfreeCola walked IceCream as she spoke, "Honestly, I don't know. It's all so sudden, I haven't had time to think. But if the apartment really belongs to his aunt, I'll move out immediately."
She frowned in frustration. "I'm not shameless enough to impose on them like this. The more I think about it, the more mortified I am."
"Don't beat yourself up over it," Renee Jennings comforted her. "Look at it this way: his aunt's family and your husband's family lied to you together."
"That's true." SugarfreeCola nodded, feeling as if a weight had been lifted.
