"Renee, come and see if this is the little swallow from this morning." Zachary Conway turned to look at her. "It looks just like it."
'A swallow?'
"Is that Inky?" Renee Jennings got up and walked over.
Zachary Conway stepped aside, and Inky immediately flew in through the crack in the window. "Renee!"
"It really is you." Renee Jennings's expression softened, the grave look on her face finally giving way to a smile. "How did you know I was here?"
She held out her hand, and Inky folded its wings, landing on the web of her thumb.
"Robin went to your house to find you, but Blueberry said you weren't home," Inky chirped, explaining. "Robin guessed you were probably here, and Robin was right!"
Inky was feeling quite pleased with itself.
"Did you need to find me for something urgent?" Renee Jennings asked, a smile playing on her lips.
