"Huo'er, are you all right?" Bai Qi asked, pinching his nose.
He relaxed the moment he saw that Xin Huohuo, though soaked to the bone, was still breathing.
"If you'd been one second later, I'd have been a goner!" Xin Huohuo struggled to climb out of the car.
Just moments before, inside the car, she'd had to crane her neck desperately, pressing her mouth against the roof. It was only thanks to that tiny pocket of air, that space of less than a centimeter, that she hadn't drowned and had barely managed to survive. The terror of the experience was just setting in, but seeing Bai Qi and Mr. Hei suddenly made her angry instead. "If you want me to help you with things, the least you can do is guarantee my safety, isn't it?"
