Looking down, she saw it was the old man. He was in his sixties, with a kindly face, and was neatly dressed. He carried only a simple, limp little cloth bag with a department store logo printed on it. A single glance told her he was the type of lonely old man who lived alone and passed the time by wandering through markets.
Xin Huohuo always had a soft spot for the elderly like him, feeling they were even more pitiful than orphans. Orphans still had a future full of infinite possibilities, but all these old folks had left was the twilight of their lives. So she offered a soft smile, and her voice was just as gentle. "Is there anything I can help you with, sir?"
The old man beckoned to her. Only when she leaned down did he lower his voice and say, "Don't go to the back."
A chill ran down Xin Huohuo's spine. "What's wrong?"
"Young lady, don't be scared by what I'm about to say, but this bus is haunted," the old man said mysteriously.
