Staring at the growth in front of her, Shen Nian could hardly believe her eyes.

After she finished transplanting the Lingzhi, Shen Nian withdrew from the space. In doing so, she missed the changes that began to unfold inside it the moment she left.
Energized by her discovery of the Lingzhi, Shen Nian searched the mountain for a while longer. This time, however, she was disappointed to find nothing else.
'Then again, it's not surprising. If it were that easy to find so many treasures, my luck would be truly off the charts!'
After coming down from the mountain, Shen Nian didn't hurry home. Instead, she detoured to the market in town and bought plenty of food, focusing mainly on meat.
Some of it was for the family to eat. Shen Nian planned to use the larger portion to make jerky and mail it to Lu Cheng.
Shen Nian couldn't be by Lu Cheng's side right now, but she still wanted to do what she could to make his life a little better.
Returning home with her heavy bags, Shen Nian expected to find only Sun Yufeng there. To her surprise, she heard the voices of several people inside before she even stepped through the door.
One of those voices was both incredibly familiar and utterly loathed by Shen Nian.
"Xiao Nian, you're back!"
Seeing Shen Nian come in, Qin Xueling immediately stood up and approached her with a smile.
"What are you doing here?"
The moment Shen Nian saw Qin Xueling, her expression turned cold. She really hadn't expected to see Qin Xueling here.
'It seems what I said to her yesterday had no effect. Qin Xueling must be planning to stir up some new trouble!'
'But I'm not the old me anymore. I will never let Qin Xueling harm me in the slightest.'
"I brought her here, Sister-in-law. Sister Xueling said she has something to tell you!"
Lu Xinyue stood up and walked over to stand by Qin Xueling's side. She looked at Shen Nian, a gloating smile on her face.
Shen Nian frowned as she watched Lu Xinyue. 'Her reaction is a little strange. And since when were she and Qin Xueling so close?'
Of course, Lu Xinyue and Qin Xueling weren't close. In fact, she had only just met Qin Xueling today. She had run into her on the way home from school, and Qin Xueling had told her a great deal about Shen Nian—none of it good, of course.
And so, without a second thought, Lu Xinyue brought Qin Xueling home. She wanted her parents to see Shen Nian's true colors. Ideally, they would drive Shen Nian out of the Lu Family for good!
'The Lu Family doesn't need a daughter-in-law like that, and I, Lu Xinyue, certainly don't want a sister-in-law like her!'
'My brother is too good for a shameless wife like her!'
