After the crowd of onlookers dispersed, Lu Cheng took Shen Nian and found a nearby guesthouse.
"You get some rest. I'm going to get some medicine."
"That's not necessary. It's just a small cut, nothing to worry about."
Shen Nian had just seen the thin scratch on her neck in the mirror. It was so shallow it would probably be healed by tomorrow. It really didn't need any medicine. Lu Cheng was just being overly anxious.

Seeing how insistent Lu Cheng was, Shen Nian didn't argue anymore. 'Fine, we'll put medicine on it,' she thought. 'If it makes him feel better, so be it.'
Shen Nian knew that even though Lu Cheng didn't say anything else, it was clear he hadn't yet recovered from the shock of what had just happened.
