"Because my pastries are delicious! It's your loss for not eating them that day!"
Shen Nian said with a smile as she looked at Chu Lingxiu.
Hearing Shen Nian's words, Chu Lingxiu couldn't help but recall what had happened that day. 'It was true that I didn't eat the pastries Shen Nian made. In fact, I was even foolish enough to waste them.'
'But it seemed like everyone in her family had tried them. Even her picky grandfather had been holding a pastry at the time.'
'So Shen Nian's words probably weren't just a boastful joke, but the honest-to-god truth!'
'Looked at it that way, it seemed she really was the one who had lost out!'
'After all, she'd always loved treats like that!'
"Alright, it's fine that you missed out. There'll definitely be chances in the future!"
"Yeah, there'll definitely be other chances!"
Chu Lingxiu nodded vigorously. She swore to herself that if another opportunity like this arose, she absolutely wouldn't miss it or waste it again!
