Deng Yuanhang saw the couple returning with large bags and small parcels. He cast a few curious glances but didn't pry; after greeting them, he resumed his lively chat with Zhou Ping.
After such a long trek, everyone was exhausted from roughing it out in the open. The city they were currently resting in was fairly large, so the caravan had simply booked two nearby inns, giving everyone a much-needed chance to catch their breath.
"What are you guys chatting about?" Gu Wenheng asked, coming over with Jin Qianqian to say hello after dropping their things off in their room.
Deng Yuanhang smiled. "I was just telling Junior Brother Zhou about a funny incident we encountered. You two were out for quite a while. Looks like you scored quite the haul."
Gu Wenheng spread his arms to show off his new clothes. "We've gone through so many changes of clothes along the way. We stopped by the ready-to-wear shop just down the street and ended up lingering for a bit."
