Hearing this, Fang Chenyi just laughed.
"Ah, well, Menghan has class today. She suddenly remembered some study materials she hadn't looked at yet, so she rushed back to the study to read. I'll bring her something to eat in a bit."
No one thought much of it and they called for Fang Chenyi to come eat. His mom, however, picked up a bowl of rice and a side dish, ready to take it to Menghan.
How could Fang Chenyi let her do that? After all, Menghan wasn't in the study right now.
He quickly took the food from his mom's hands and carried it out of the villa himself.
Back in the bedroom, he gently pushed the door open. Seeing Bai Menghan still asleep, he decided not to disturb her. He placed the food on the bedside table and quietly left.
After a moment's thought, he decided not to go back and eat. He wanted to avoid them asking more questions about Menghan.
He patted his growling stomach and gave a wry smile. "Hey, quiet down, pal. Skipping one meal won't kill me."
