Vajra's series of antics quickly made everyone accept this new member of the family.
His mom and mother-in-law, in particular, absolutely adored him.
After dinner, Vajra started showing off all his tricks, keeping everyone laughing nonstop.

While everyone was happily chatting, a sudden series of booms from fireworks sounded from outside.
Someone must be getting married and setting off fireworks for the celebration.
No one in the house paid it any mind, except for Vajra. Upon hearing the noise, the previously excited dog shuddered, then immediately ran behind Mom. He crouched on the floor, whimpering softly and desperately tugging on her clothes.
It was clear he was terrified.
Seeing this, Mom's heart ached for him, and she stroked Vajra's head over and over. Though they had only just met, the well-behaved yet goofy Vajra had already won her over.
Fortunately, the fireworks didn't last long, ending after just five or six minutes.
