All the way home, the old lady talked about the letters her second daughter kept sending. She knew perfectly well why her daughter was writing, but she was too prideful to admit it. Others only saw that the letters came every month. When they asked what they were about, the old lady would only say nice things. As a result, the entire village was incredibly envious of her.
