Xiao Furen coughed, stood up, and said, "I have some things to take care of at home, so I'll be going. Um... see you tomorrow, I guess." He wasn't sure he'd avoid getting jabbed today, so he played it safe by only promising to see her tomorrow.
He followed after Li Yuansi, sauntering out of the school grounds. As he walked, he scanned behind and around him, making sure no one was paying him any attention. Once he was certain no one was following, he casually strolled over to the brick factory and walked inside with practiced ease.
Yuan Si was squatting on the ground, holding a huge bowl. Two basins of steaming meat dishes sat on the floor in front of her as she feasted heartily.
Xiao Furen stared at the two basins of food, lost in thought. He had seen this girl eating like this for many days. The contents of the two basins had changed twice, but they were always meat dishes, which showed just how much she adored meat.
"My brother came home yesterday."
