After entering the house, Zuo Daya discreetly surveyed her surroundings. 'This must be the living room,' she thought. It was less than fifteen square meters. A long table made of wooden planks stood by the door, looking like a kitchen counter, but she didn't see any pots. They were probably outside. Further in, there was a narrow single bed with a square table right next to it.
The room was very simple. Besides the single bed, the table, and a few stools, there was basically nothing else.
Next to the single bed was a doorway covered by a piece of floral fabric that served as a curtain. Zuo Daya couldn't see what was inside.
Wang Laodi led Zuo Daya to the table and pulled out a stool from underneath for her to sit on.
"Have a seat, have a seat. It's not like your village here. The place is small, so please don't mind."
