During her morning shift, Zhou Yaping took a break to find Li Mubo.
"Did you tell your mother?" she asked shyly, her eyes darting toward her boyfriend beside her. The two were passionately in love, still in the honeymoon phase of their relationship.
Li Mubo blushed a little under her gaze. He quickly cleared his throat, composed himself, and said in a low voice, "Something happened at home yesterday, and I saw my mom wasn't in a good mood, so I didn't bring it up. Don't worry, once she's feeling better in a couple of days, I'll definitely have a good talk with her."
Hearing an answer she hadn't expected, Zhou Yaping's expression soured for a moment. But it was only for an instant before she put on a smile again. "Look at you. Why would I be in a rush? I'm not worried at all. You can tell her whenever. What happened at your house yesterday? Do you need my help?" she asked, fishing for information.
