Zhao Yangwu scanned the area, trying to figure out which way the criminal had fled.
Then he spotted a figure standing right out in the open on the main road.
"Xiao Li, what are you still doing standing there? Did you see which way the criminal ran?" Zhao Yangwu jogged over immediately.
"Didn't you tell me to watch these footprints?" Yuan Si said with perfect innocence. Inwardly, however, she was roasting him. 'And he calls himself a cop? He couldn't even handle one criminal. He's not even as capable as my Xiao Furen.'
Zhao Yangwu was left speechless. He blinked, wanting to ask her, 'Is this girl an idiot? An actual idiot? Why can't she think on her feet? The criminal is long gone, so what's the use of guarding some useless footprints?'
He took a deep breath, managing to keep from passing out from sheer exasperation. "Did you see which way the criminal ran?" That was the priority now. 'As for this dim-witted Xiao Li, I'll deal with her when we get back.'
