An Ning leaped down from the tree. She grinned at Hua Cheng, clearly enjoying the show. "No harm if I tell Jiang Xia what happened today, right?"
Lying on the ground, Hua Cheng said, on the verge of tears, "As long as you get me out of this, I wouldn't care if you took out an ad in the newspaper."
An Ning gave him an admiring thumbs-up.
"You really know how to think big. Just remember, you're paying for the ad."
Having said her piece, An Ning completely ignored Hua Cheng's crestfallen expression. She turned around leisurely and gave a friendly greeting to Hei Niu, who was standing behind her.
"Hi there."
"Hi."
Hei Niu's eyes were exceptionally bright.
Though her skin was tanned, she looked incredibly healthy. Combined with her bright eyes, Hei Niu wasn't unattractive at all.
"You—how did you get down?"
Hei Niu pointed to the tall tree. "I could get down, too, but not as well as you. How did you not make a single sound? Have you practiced 'Floating on Water' or something?"
