"Hold on. This isn't the right time to acknowledge our connection. There are still some things I haven't figured out."
The driver nodded, started the car, and sped away.
In the distance, a young woman holding a high-definition camera stood in place and smirked sinisterly.
'Jane Sterling, let's see you escape the gossip this time! Hmph. Dating a professor from your own university and fooling around with another man on the side. You won't be able to talk your way out of this one. I'll make sure you're utterly destroyed.'
Her eyes glinting with a triumphant certainty, the young woman quietly slipped away.
After the concert, they were supposed to head straight back to Aethelgard. However, a sudden blizzard rolled in, and all flights were canceled. With no other choice, the group had to check into a hotel to wait out the storm before they could return to Aethelgard.
