Chu Yao only received the new script after she finished with her makeup. The lines weren't numerous, nor were they hard to memorize. Chu Yao had them down after reading through them twice. However, when it came to the newly added character, Chu Yao couldn't help but frown.
The second female lead, played by Mi Feifei, was an overbearing, second-generation heiress. She developed a grudge against the female lead because of the male lead, and thus opposed her at every turn.
Logically, this was a character who, unable to win the man she loved, transferred her resentment onto her rival. Coupled with the fact that she was a "perfect rich beauty" who looked down on the "Cinderella" type, this was all quite normal.
But Gu Yuxin's character was an arrogant and domineering rich girl.
Chu Yao skimmed through all of her scenes and could only conclude that Gu Yuxin's character had no romantic entanglement with the male lead. She simply couldn't stand the sight of the female lead.
