Chapter 40 - Chapter 40: Construction Begins

That was simply a nightmare in her career as a rigorous Earth-system Magician. But the blueprint before her eyes—every dimension, every structure, and every detail was clear and unmistakable! She only needed to follow the annotations on the blueprint, precisely control the earth and stone elements, and construct the corresponding forms!

How was this a commission? This was simply an enjoyment! A supreme blessing for a magician who pursued precision and perfection!

Silvana put her glasses back on, and the way she looked at Grace had completely changed, filled with the excitement and respect of finding a kindred spirit.

"Miss Grace! This blueprint... it's practically a work of art! It's too perfect! With this, I'm confident I can complete the main structure's construction in three days... no, two days!" She gripped Grace's hand tightly, shaking it vigorously. "Please, you must let me participate in this project! Being able to build according to such a clear and rigorous blueprint has always been my dream!"

Grace was a bit embarrassed by her enthusiasm. She scratched her short black hair tied in a ponytail and smiled. "Haha, I'm glad you like it. Actually, this is just the basic design. As for the subsequent internal pipelines and such... we still need to discuss those further. I'm quite interested in the magic of you magicians..."

"No problem! Absolutely no problem!" Silvana agreed immediately, her deep brown eyes burning with the intense fire of a tech geek meeting another. "We can study it together! Your technology and my magic... we will definitely be able to create an unprecedented, perfect building that fuses the wisdom of two systems!"

Watching the two technical talents reach a consensus instantly with an atmosphere so heated it was about to spark, Luna Belle and Cecilia looked at each other and smiled, both breathing a sigh of relief. Cecilia took a sip of herbal tea, her ice-blue eyes carrying a hint of a smile as she whispered:

"See, I told you it would be fine. For Silvana, a clear and definite blueprint plus technology she's interested in is more attractive than any payment."

Luna Belle looked at Silvana, who was already hunched over the blueprint again, heads together with Grace to discuss specific construction details. Professional terms like "foundation depth," "load-bearing wall mana reinforcement," and "elemental insulation layer" kept popping out of her mouth. Luna Belle's impression of the noble and mysterious Great Magician shattered into pieces; she had turned into a civil engineering sister from Belobog Heavy Industries.

However, with two such reliable technical experts present, her plan to rebuild Sixth Street really seemed to be just around the corner!

"Then, without further ado!" Silvana stood up abruptly, her wide magic robes swaying and creating a slight breeze. Her face overflowed with unprecedented motivation. She pushed up her glasses, her gaze behind the lenses sharp and focused. "Miss Grace, please take me to the site! I need to conduct a field survey of the soil structure, elemental enrichment, and groundwater levels to determine the most suitable foundational spell model!"

"Just call me Grace!" Grace also excitedly gathered the blueprints and patted the non-existent dust off her cargo pants. The screwdriver and small wrench in her tool kit made a crisp clinking sound with her movements. "Let's go, Silvana! The site is right outside. I've already taken a preliminary look. The soil quality is decent, though there are a few large rocks that might need to be handled beforehand."

Seeing the two of them about to head out with such efficiency, Luna Belle quickly spoke up. "Um... do you need me to come along? Or do I need to prepare any materials?"

Silvana turned back and waved her hand, her tone relaxed. "Miss Belle, you just wait and see! As for materials, the main structure primarily relies on earth and stone, which I can directly condense and shape with magic. At most, we'll need some wood for doors, windows, and interior decoration, but it won't be too late to prepare those later."

Grace added as well. "That's right, Belle. You rest for a bit, or think about which videotapes you want to put in the store later. Leave the basic construction to us; we guarantee it'll be handled perfectly!"

With that, the two women of action left the wooden house one after the other in a whirlwind, heading toward the designated construction site.

Cecilia watched their departing figures, shook her head with a smile, and said to Luna Belle: "Alright, the most critical construction issue is resolved. With Silvana here, you can be completely at ease regarding efficiency. Next, you can properly plan for the shop's future. If you need more hands, just let me know at any time."

After seeing Cecilia off, Luna Belle stood at the door of the wooden house, looking at Grace and Silvana who had already begun their field survey not far away, her heart full of anticipation. She returned to the living room and found that Ellen had woken up at some point. She was leaning against the kitchen doorway with sleepy eyes, watching Tineva prepare breakfast, her tail swaying lazily.

Alice sat on a chair by the window. The display screen at her waist showed a quiet (•̀ω•́ 」∠) expression as she admired the morning light outside the window.

"Everyone..." Luna Belle took a deep breath, a bright smile appearing on her face. "Our 'Random Play' is about to start construction!"

Ellen gave a vague hum of response, her attention clearly more on the fragrant frying pan in Tineva's hand. Alice turned her head, a gentle smile in her heterochromatic eyes.

"Building based on a clear blueprint is the first step toward achieving a perfect result. I am looking forward to it. It's just... can the room layout be left to me? It's fine if the building isn't perfectly symmetrical... but the rooms absolutely cannot be asymmetrical!"

"Ahaha... Alice... about that... I'll give you space to show your skills..."

Hearing Luna Belle's somewhat reluctant tone, the corner of Alice's mouth twitched slightly. Hmph... Belle, don't think you can brush me off so easily nanodawa!

Tineva also turned back, revealing a happy smile. "Congratulations, Belle! Do you need me to help prepare some celebratory snacks?"

Luna Belle nodded vigorously. "Yes! Please, Tineva!"

Over the next two days, this plot of land in White Thorn City's Sixth Street presented a scene of bustling activity. Silvana displayed her amazing strength as an Earth-system Great Magician.

She stood in the center of the selected plot, hands pressed against the ground, chanting low and profound incantations. With her chanting, the earth seemed to gain life and began to crawl. Solid foundations "grew" out from underground like plants, thick walls rapidly rose along the lines marked on Grace's blueprint, and door and window openings were precisely formed amidst the flow of earth and stone.

Throughout the process, the soil and rocks were like gentle lambs, perfectly reproducing every detail on the blueprint under her exquisite mana control...
