Two days had passed since they set off for Planet Senso, and things were going horribly.
Rhuba had woken up from her coma, and everything seemed fine at first. Her DNA, when compared to how it was before the transformation, was drastically different, but that wasn't the bad part.
After a short bit of rest, letting her get used to her new body, there was a spar between her and a few soldiers. Things were going well at first, though she instinctively lowered her power to around the level of the soldiers.
That was the first sign of something being wrong.
She shouldn't even have the ability to do that, but Tundra had ignored it, until the soldiers lay on the ground, bloody and still, while she hardly even had a scratch on her. In fact, that very scratch disappeared within seconds.
Tundra entered the room, followed by a few other soldiers, who quickly took the bodies and hurried them to the medical room.
Tundra stared down at Rhuba, whose hands were clenched. She couldn't control herself and had ended up seriously injuring several of Tundra's men. That was supposed to be a sparring match, not a battle to the death. What had gotten into her?
Like any Saiyan, she enjoyed battle, but what they enjoyed more was having control over themselves. It's why they gained control over their Great Ape form, it's why their laws never restricted them, and it's why King Vegeta had attempted to assassinate Tundra.
Tundra's stare turned cold. He'd have to fight her, wouldn't he?
What a bother.
"Clean yourself. We have two weeks to work on your shortcomings."
Rhuba nodded, getting up and making her way to the showers, her jaw clenched in frustration.
Over the next two weeks, Tundra focused on helping Rhuba control herself during combat. That meant letting her attack him until she collapsed, because she needed to let out her energy in some manner.
During this time, Tundra could hardly read the book, but he had learned many things, especially about how to go about using dark energy. This would be very useful later on.
But for now, there was a mission to complete.
The planet seemed interesting. There weren't many high ki signatures, but their mana was quite large. It made him wonder if the fox people were weak or just average.
Either way, it didn't matter.
Bringing Rhuba along, he set out toward the highest mana signature. It was quite a dark signature, but it shouldn't matter. Nothing could harm him aside from genuine gods nowadays.
And it seemed as if the mysterious person was heading toward them too.
Fantastic.
Landing on the summit of a nearby mountain, he waited for the person to arrive.
Only for him to float above, glaring at Tundra with his hands behind his back. His messy, long black hair caught the light as he began to speak.
"I thought I made it clear that any intruders will be killed, or did the message not get relayed properly? Well, either way, we have no need for any conquerors. Leave now."
Tundra sighed. He probably shouldn't erase the people on this planet, but if all of them were going to be like this, then he'd have no choice.
Floating up to match the figure, Tundra noticed that he was almost as tall as Rhuba.
"I am Tundra, emperor of the North Galaxy. Will you give me your name, or will you attack me?"
Tundra released his mana.
"It's Moshen. Remember it well in the afterlife."
Moshen didn't flinch at Tundra's mana. Instead, he drew his sword, lifted it high into the air, and concentrated all of his mana into one downward slash.
The dark wave that came out could hardly be called a slash, but Tundra did not move to get out of the way. He believed it to be weak enough for him to block.
The dark wave cut through Tundra's skin and into his muscles. Thankfully, his own mana dispersed the corrupting effect of the dark mana, or it truly would have been a lesson in hubris.
Tundra cracked his neck as his body visibly healed.
"As I thought. Now there is no place for you here."
In truth, Tundra had learned something, mainly the fact that mana could be made into such an attack, or at least dark mana could.
Before long, Tundra tried the same thing as Moshen, except with his hand, using his mana to create a wave of energy that headed toward Moshen.
Of course, it wasn't that easy. The wave was weak and had no real effect.
Tundra had thought it over for a bit. Moshen could hardly move, so it gave him ample time to experiment.
That was until he felt a huge surge of ki from Moshen.
Looking up, he noticed Moshen's sword glowing as his body began to wither.
Without a word, Moshen swung down, a giant wave of energy cascading down. Except this time, it felt like a void, swallowing anything in its path.
At that moment, Tundra figured it out.
The thing he needed to make the wave was ki.
Using his hand once again, he charged it with ki before sending out a slash of ki. Charging that slash with mana turned it into a giant wave of energy, rivaling Moshen's and eventually destroying the wave along with itself.
Then, with one swift move, Tundra decapitated Moshen, a smile on his face as he spoke.
"What a demon god you are."
