Part Two
As darkness descended upon the world because of the appearance of that white demon,
Kaith was in a miserable state.
Kaith: "Reinhardt… where did you really go? No matter how much Lucifer's death affected you, we're in the middle of a war! How could you leave without any warning?!"
Reinhardt: "You know nothing, Kaith. You're still young."
A moment of silence.
Kaith: "Young?! How is someone over twenty years old still considered young?! What you're saying makes no sense."
Reinhardt looked at Kaith and smiled.
Reinhardt: "You're right. What I said doesn't make sense… at least not in the way you understood it."
Kaith looked at Reinhardt with disdain.
Then he said:
Kaith: "Forget your judgments. They've never helped me anyway. Let's continue the fight."
Reinhardt: "Who knows? Maybe you'll understand their value later."
The two of them charged toward the Beast of Destruction at incredible speed.
Reinhardt began sending the Darkness of the Abyss toward it.
And then something strange happened.
It was as if the monster itself had begun to disappear.
Kaith: "Impossible! How could it die from a single attack?!"
Reinhardt: "Idiot! Move!"
A radiant demonic beam shot toward Kaith at terrifying speed.
Then…
The beam struck Kaith directly in the heart.
Kaith collapsed to the ground,
motionless.
Reinhardt rushed toward him at an unimaginable speed.
Reinhardt: "Kaith… answer me…"
Reinhardt checked whether he was breathing.
Indeed, Kaith was still breathing.
Reinhardt surrounded Kaith with a strange magical barrier and released a powerful healing force inside it.
Reinhardt: "You damn brat… you've drained more than half of my power. But I hope you don't die now."
Something strange appeared from the place where the Beast of Destruction had disappeared.
It was a person.
The smoke began to clear,
revealing someone—
with black hair,
pale white skin,
and white wings that concealed the color of his eyes,
leaving only white eyes visible instead of his true ones.
He had a partially grown beard.
He wore formal black clothing,
possessed angelic wings,
and a demonic halo hovered above his head.
He wore a sinister smile
as he announced the appearance of his complete form.
??????: "I am the Lord of Destruction… the first destructive seed in existence. I am Erlic, the Beast of Destruction."
A moment of silence.
Reinhardt: "Do you want me to applaud you now, you bastard? You said you're the Lord of Destruction… so what happens if I destroy your filthy soul?"
Meanwhile, somewhere else…
In the middle of a region filled with pure white light,
a person with golden horns and black hair awakened.
Kaith, confused: "Where am I?!"
A strange voice answered:
Strange Voice: "Outside the boundaries of existence."
Kaith: "Who are you?! And what do you mean?!"
The strange voice replied:
Strange Voice: "Who am I? I am Destiny. As for what I mean… you are currently between life and death."
Kaith: "What?! How can I be between life and death?! I'm alive! I'm still breathing!"
Strange Voice: "Do you see that tree over there? Go to it."
Kaith turned around and saw a gigantic tree whose sheer size was impossible to describe.
Kaith: "Since you are Destiny… is that tree connected to you?"
The voice answered:
Strange Voice: "You connect events rather quickly, boy. Yes. That is the tree that writes down what I say."
Kaith began moving toward the tree.
And when he touched it…
He saw something he was never supposed to see.
