Kaisar opened a large door at the end of the corridor. As soon as the door swung open, Vero stopped in his tracks.
The room was enormous and shaped like a high dome with a roof that could open. In the center stood a massive telescope mounted on a sturdy metal base. Its long lens pointed toward the sky visible through the opening in the dome above.
Around the room were various other instruments—large monitors displaying digital star maps, a work desk filled with notes, a model of the solar system slowly hanging in the air, and glass shelves storing small meteorite stones that shimmered under the lights.
Vero stared at everything with eyes that barely blinked.
"Whoaaaaa…"
He ran toward the slowly rotating solar system model.
"These are the planets, right?" Vero asked in a voice full of awe.
His eyes sparkled when he saw the small blue sphere representing Earth.
"This one is Earth! The red one is Mars!" he said quickly, almost jumping in excitement.
