Chapter 175 - Chapter 175: Dance of the Light Dragon and the Karmic Blaze

Chapter 175: Dance of the Light Dragon and the Karmic Blaze

Amano Rei's Black Rose Storm had swept the field completely clear.

"Wait, that is it?" Yukki blinked, her large eyes cycling through disbelief. "Just like that? All of Masayo's cards, just gone?"

As Amano had expected, the two Set cards Masayo had placed in her back row during the previous turn had been exactly what he suspected: expensive, high-value traps. The Continuous Trap Royal Decree, which would have shut down every Trap Card on the field, and Karma Barrier - Flame Force, which combined the effects of Magic Cylinder and Divine Wrath into a single card. Either one landing against him would have been lethal.

But Black Rose Dragon had torn through all of it.

"Do not think this is over, Amano." There was iron in Masayo's voice as she squared her shoulders in the aftermath of the Rose Storm. "Destroying one or two things will never stop the Night Parade."

Her Duel Disk's Graveyard activated. A gust of supernatural wind rose from nowhere, and a winged silhouette tore itself back into existence on the field.

"I activate the effect of Tengu, the Winged Mayakashi from my Graveyard."

When this card is in the Graveyard and a Synchro Monster I control with an original Level of 9 or higher is destroyed by battle or opponent's effect: I can banish 1 other Zombie from my Graveyard, then Special Summon this card.

"Since the Level 9 Synchro Yoko, the Graceful Mayakashi was just destroyed, I banish Hajun, the Winged Mayakashi from my Graveyard and revive Tengu, the Winged Mayakashi!"

"Tengu's wings can sweep up a typhoon and shake mountains to their foundations. Eight Million Gods, breathe. Special Summon! Tengu, the Winged Mayakashi!"

Tengu, the Winged Mayakashi. ATK: 2600.

Tengu's revival effect allowed it to destroy one Spell or Trap card on Amano's side of the field when Special Summoned from the Graveyard. Unfortunately for Masayo, after Black Rose Dragon's effect had cleared the entire board, Amano had nothing in his back row for the gust to touch.

Even without the destruction trigger landing, Tengu was still a 2600 ATK Synchro monster standing on the field. Higher ATK than Dark Magician.

Masayo steadied herself, finding her footing after the setback. "One or two destructions will not put out the Night Parade, Amano. It keeps walking."

"Oh, only one or two destructions?"

Amano smiled and placed the card that had been waiting in his hand since the Dark Game with Onikiri, drawn from the Millennium Scale itself, into his Duel Disk.

"Then let us see how many hits your parade can take. Spell Card, Dragon's Mirror!"

"Dragon's Mirror," Sakuya breathed from the sideline.

That card. Everyone on the Nanki'in estate grounds recognized it. The reversal Fusion Spell that Amano had drawn from the Millennium Scale during his Dark Game against Onikiri.

Yukki, standing beside Sakuya, instinctively gripped her cousin's arm. Her memories from that night were fragmented and distant, filtered through the haze of Onikiri's possession. But her body remembered being on the receiving end of what that card could do, and the reflex ran deeper than conscious thought.

She understood it clearly, though. If Amano had not used Dragon's Mirror to break that situation open, she would not be herself right now. She might not be anything at all.

"Dragon's Mirror allows me to use Dragon-Type monsters from my Graveyard as Fusion Materials."

Amano turned to face the Fusion portal forming within the darkness of the Night Parade, and from his Graveyard he called up both of the Dragons that had already fought and fallen this duel.

"I fuse Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Black Rose Dragon!"

"That fusion method," Ryuuma said, and he could not keep the edge out of his voice. He remembered this very clearly. Last time Amano had used Dragon's Mirror, the second material had been Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon.

"The will of the legendary dragon stirs. With the wings of a tyrant, let a storm beyond all roses rise."

"Fusion Summon. Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon!"

Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon. Level 8, LIGHT, Dragon/Fusion/Effect.

ATK: 3400. DEF: 2900.

Fusion Materials: Blue-Eyes White Dragon plus any Dragon-Type monster.

The Fusion Dragon erupted from the mirror portal, enormous luminous wings blazing at the top of the Night Parade's darkness, its radiance pressing down on the whole atmosphere of the spirit procession from above. Blue-Eyes White Dragon plus any Dragon would do for the materials. Galaxy-Eyes the last time, Black Rose Dragon this time. Both were valid.

Masayo could not help herself. "You are a student at a Synchro Academy. You are using Fusion to win? You have no Synchro soul whatsoever."

"On the contrary. My duelist's soul is freer than anyone's."

Amano raised his arm and pointed skyward at the newly arrived Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon.

"Obliterate the parade. Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon, attack Tengu, the Winged Mayakashi!"

"Tyrant Burst Dragon!"

Nobody had anticipated the pivot: Synchro into Black Rose Dragon to clear the field, and then immediately Fusion Summon a 3400 ATK monster from the Graveyard on the same turn. Masayo had revived Tengu in Attack Position, and now she caught the full weight of the luminous bombardment without time to respond.

Tengu, the Winged Mayakashi: destroyed.

Masayo LP: 4000 to 3200.

"But the Night Parade does not stop. When the Level 7 Synchro Tengu is destroyed, I can banish Dakki from my Graveyard and revive the Level 5 Synchro Tsuchigumo, the Poisonous Mayakashi!"

"Let the deadly venom of the abyss spin its hunting web across the underworld!"

Tsuchigumo, the Poisonous Mayakashi. DEF: 1800. Set to Defense Position.

"And Tsuchigumo's revival effect triggers. When this card is Special Summoned from the Graveyard: both players send the top three cards of their Deck to the Graveyard."

Three cards from each Deck tumbled into their respective Graveyards simultaneously. Masayo sent Yuki-Musume the Ice Mayakashi, Yasha, and Shafu. Amano sent Dark Magician Girl, the Trap Card Absolute Invincibility, and his second Shiranui Solitaire.

"I told you it keeps going," Masayo said. "Continue your attack, Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon."

"Continue the attack?" A small line appeared between her brows.

"I said at the start that I was going to use this card to drive your entire Night Parade out. Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon's effect allows it to attack each opponent's monster once per turn."

Every monster that shows up has to eat one of these. Newly revived monsters included.

"Tyrant Burst Dragon. Second Round!"

The second blast from above detonated across Tsuchigumo's defensive position, scattering the poison spider's form instantly.

Tsuchigumo, the Poisonous Mayakashi: destroyed.

Masayo shielded her eyes against the continuing bursts of light, arm raised. She did not retreat. "When the Level 5 Synchro Tsuchigumo is destroyed, I banish Shafu and revive the Level 3 Synchro Oboro-guruma, the Wheeled Mayakashi!"

Oboro-guruma, the Wheeled Mayakashi. DEF: 2100. Defense Position.

From outside the estate walls at this point, if anyone had been standing in the street, they would have seen a series of brilliant flashes lighting up the interior of the garden like fireworks, one after another, each one driving back the spiritual darkness of the Night Parade.

"This is intense," Yukki said, wide-eyed. She had not had many duels in her memory, but nothing had reached this level. "Is every duel like this?"

Ryuuma shook his head slowly, eyes fixed on the field. "Amano-aniki is exactly what Master Muramasa described. A duelist who has walked both Fusion and Synchro to their absolute limits."

He thought, privately, that he wanted more than anything to duel Amano himself. The difference in their circumstances made that request impossible to voice.

The light-carried smoke settled. Of all the Mayakashi Synchros that had entered the field, Oboro-guruma was still standing.

Masayo held firm. "Oboro-guruma, the Wheeled Mayakashi. When this card is Special Summoned from the Graveyard: monsters I control cannot be destroyed by battle this turn."

"Then during this battle, I activate Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon's second effect."

Once per turn, at the end of a damage step in which this card battled: target 1 Trap Card in your own Graveyard and Set it to your field.

Amano retrieved the Absolute Invincibility that Tsuchigumo's mill had just sent to his Graveyard and Set it face-down on his field. Then he Set his last handcard, and passed the turn.

He had played out every resource in his hand this turn.

"My turn. Draw."

Masayo pulled her card without hesitation and looked at her hand. She activated the card immediately, slamming it into her Duel Disk with the particular energy of someone who had been waiting for exactly this.

"Spell Card, Pot of Greed. I draw two cards from my Deck."

Three cards in hand now. She assessed them. Two were general-purpose trap cards she could not use productively this turn. The one that mattered was in the middle.

"Spell Card, Monster Reborn. I target Yoko, the Graceful Mayakashi in my Graveyard and revive her."

Yoko rose again from the Graveyard, spectral blue foxfire coiling around her robes as she returned to the field in Attack Position. ATK: 2900.

"Yoko's revival effect activates. I target and destroy one of your monsters."

The rotating yin-yang mirror caught the light, and the foxfire swept across Amano's field toward Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon.

Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon: destroyed.

"And next, the Graveyard effect of Mayakashi Mayhem."

When this card is in the Graveyard: banish this card and 1 Zombie from the Graveyard; then Special Summon 1 Mayakashi monster from the Graveyard.

"I banish Mayakashi Mayhem and Yasha from my Graveyard and revive Tengu, the Winged Mayakashi."

Tengu returned to the field a second time, its wings raising the familiar supernatural gust.

"Tengu's revival effect. When this card is Special Summoned from the Graveyard: destroy one Spell or Trap on the opponent's field."

This time Amano did have something in his back row. The Set card was clearly identifiable: the Absolute Invincibility that had been placed there via Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon's effect was a known quantity. Masayo did not hesitate.

"Tengu Storm!"

The gust found its target precisely and tore the identified Set card apart.

Absolute Invincibility: destroyed.

With it went the last thing Amano had been holding as a defense against taking damage in battle. Every resource he had spent this turn building that safety net had just been swept away.

"A duelist without a Synchro soul will fall to the Synchro power of my Night Parade."

Masayo led the charge with Yoko, Tengu, and Oboro-guruma still in Defense Position.

"Direct attack. Yoko, the Graceful Mayakashi."

"Ethereal Underworld Flame. Yin-Yang Path Opening!"

The nine tails blazed with blue foxfire, carving a straight burning trail directly through the air toward Amano.

"A Synchro soul, you said? Then let me show you, in this one moment, a Synchro soul more brilliant than anything you have seen yet. Brilliant enough that even a Zombie dragon can blaze with light."

The Absolute Invincibility Amano had Set openly in his back row had never been the card he intended to protect himself with.

It was bait.

The real card had been underneath it the whole time. Amano flipped it.

"Trap Card, Royal Soul Harmony! I negate Yoko's direct attack!"

Royal Soul Harmony. Trap Card: When an opponent's monster declares a direct attack, negate that attack. Then: banish any number of Tuner and non-Tuner Zombie monsters from your own Graveyard with combined Levels totaling 8 or less; Synchro Summon 1 Zombie Synchro Monster from the Extra Deck with a Level equal to that total.

Unlike Royal's Synchro, Royal Soul Harmony required an opponent's direct attack as its activation window, but it could Synchro Summon up to Level 8 freely from the Graveyard.

Yukki tilted her head, working through the logic. "If Amano-sensei Synchro Summons Black Rose Dragon again from the Graveyard, would that clear everything a second time?"

Ryuuma shook his head. "That would lose the duel. If Tengu is destroyed, Masayo can revive Tsuchigumo during the Battle Phase, and Tsuchigumo would deal the killing blow. Black Rose Dragon is the wrong answer here."

The standard Dragon Synchros in Amano's Extra Deck were all wrong answers for this particular position. What the situation called for was something that could sever the revival chain permanently.

A Zombie Synchro. Not a Dragon, and yet also a Dragon.

The ability to Synchro any Zombie had been granted to Amano by Sakuya's skill.

"I banish Level 2 Tuner Shiranui Solitaire, Level 5 Guard Knight, and Level 1 Yuyu from my Graveyard. Combined Level: eight."

From Amano's Graveyard, the light of three fallen monsters rose, not into fire this time but into something far colder and far more absolute, like a light that had existed before fire was ever named.

"With the bones of the fallen, shine with the undying radiance of a star. Let this dragon's roar sever every path the demons walk."

"Royal Soul Harmony. Synchro Summon. Level 8."

"Shining Colossus Dragon!"

Shining Colossus Dragon. Level 8, FIRE, Zombie/Synchro/Effect.

ATK: 2800. DEF: 2800.

The Zombie Synchro Dragon descended onto the field blazing with light that had no business coming from a creature whose type was Undead, blinding in its intensity, utterly unlike anything the Night Parade's darkness had prepared for.

"Shining Colossus Dragon's effect activates."

When this card is Special Summoned: Target 1 monster on the field or in either Graveyard; banish it.

"This one strike will cut the road of the Night Parade. No more revivals from this moment forward, Jinguuji Masayo."

The target was Tengu, the Winged Mayakashi, still standing on the field.

"Star Skeleton Burst. Radiant Stripping!"

The beam from Shining Colossus Dragon's jaws erupted outward, washing over Tengu like purifying light dissolving a spirit back into the void. There was no destruction. There was no Graveyard. Tengu simply ceased to exist on this side of the boundary.

Tengu, the Winged Mayakashi: banished.

"You understand what that means better than anyone, Jinguuji-senpai. You run this deck."

Without Tengu sitting at Level 7, the revival chain was broken at its middle link. The Mayakashi climbing order ran: Level 3, Level 5, Level 7, Level 9, Level 11. Remove the Level 7 step and the chain between Tsuchigumo and Yoko had no bridge. Even if Yoko was destroyed again, there was no path back up from the lower end of the chain.

Masayo absorbed this realization in silence.

This man had never faced a Mayakashi deck before today. And he had already identified and targeted the exact structural weak point of the archetype.

Was this person really a first-year student?

She would not let him see her rattled. Not in front of Sakuya.

"Do not get ahead of yourself, Amano. Right now you have exactly one monster on the field sitting at 2800 ATK. Even with the revival chain cut, your monster cannot beat Yoko. She has a hundred more ATK than your dragon."

And beyond the ATK gap, Masayo held two trap cards in her hand. Synchro Deflection, which would destroy any monster that attacked one of her Synchro monsters. And the Counter Trap Magic Drain, which would negate any Spell Card Amano tried to activate. Even if he drew Pot of Greed next turn, it would not matter.

"Before I end my turn: I activate the Graveyard effect of Zombie Reborn."

When this card is in the Graveyard: return 1 of your banished Zombie monsters to the Deck, then Set this card to your field. If this card leaves the field by this effect, banish it.

"I return the banished Tengu to my Deck and Set Zombie Reborn to my field."

Tengu had been banished directly from the field, not from the Graveyard, which meant this recovery effect functioned without restriction. Zombie Reborn returned to her back row.

She would not be able to activate its Special Summon effect until next turn. But next turn she could revive Gashadokuro, the Skeletal Mayakashi, whose 3300 ATK eclipsed Blue-Eyes White Dragon itself. Victory was still fully within reach.

Masayo set two more cards and fixed Amano with a direct look. "You have one more draw. Just one. Even after everything you have done this duel, do you actually think you can beat me?"

"If I manage it anyway, that is exactly what makes dueling worth anything, is it not, Jinguuji-senpai?"

"Do not make me laugh. If you can finish this in one card, I will eat my Duel Disk."

She meant it in the way someone means things when they are completely certain they cannot come true.

It was an honest thing to say. Masayo had her shortcomings and she had her fixations, but as a senior duelist at Synchro Academy she had genuine ability. A Mayakashi deck capable of the full Night Parade from a single handcard, able to sustain a continuous revival chain, able to threaten the front row and the back row at the same time: that was a real deck. She belonged in the top ten.

Amano made a mental note. At the Academic Challenge Tournament, he needed to point Masayo toward the Fusion Academy bracket, let her clear that path and create space for his own climb. He might even see if he could borrow a few Shiranui-compatible cards from Sakuya to shore up Masayo's Mayakashi build before the event.

All of that was contingent on winning this duel first.

"Betting on the draw luck of the District 32 New Year poker tournament ten-time champion. My turn. Draw."

Amano pressed his fingertip to the top card of his Deck. In the silence of the estate garden, everyone watching seemed to forget to breathe. He drew it.

He looked at the card. Then he looked across the field at Masayo.

"Jinguuji-senpai, you can put your Duel Disk away. I will not make you eat it. But how about an additional verbal wager instead? If I win, you agree to do one reasonable thing I ask. If you win, I will agree to one thing in return."

Masayo looked at her two Set cards in her back row. There was not a single reason to refuse.

"Agreed."

"Then I will not hold back."

Amano smiled and placed the drawn card onto his field.

"I Normal Summon Level 1 Tuner Cosmo Spellcaster Rabbit in Defense Position."

Cosmo Spellcaster Rabbit. Level 1, LIGHT, Spellcaster/Tuner/Normal.

ATK: 0. DEF: 1500.

The last draw of the duel, staked on a lifetime of lucky hands in District 32. A Level 1 vanilla Tuner. No effects at all.

And at the same time, a Level 1 Tuner standing beside a Level 8 Zombie Synchro Dragon, pointing toward every possible future that a Synchro Summon could reach.

"I tune Level 1 Tuner Cosmo Spellcaster Rabbit with Level 8 Shining Colossus Dragon."

The moment the tuning rings touched, the resulting light storm was unlike anything that had manifested on this field tonight. The pure luminescence of a LIGHT Attribute Tuner intertwining with the blinding radiance of the Shining Colossus Dragon produced a combined Synchro surge that washed across the entire garden.

Level 1 plus Level 8. Nine.

"Let this radiance illuminate the sky all the way to where victory ends. Let it bring down a wind that sweeps away every shadow of the unknown."

"Synchro Summon. Level 9."

"Radiant Storm Dragon!"

Radiant Storm Dragon. Level 9, LIGHT, Dragon/Synchro/Effect.

ATK: 2700. DEF: 3000.

The Level 9 Dragon descended from the peak of the Synchro light storm, head raised in a resonant roar that lit the night sky from above, vast wings displacing the air across the entire estate garden.

"Radiant Storm Dragon's effect activates."

When this card is Special Summoned: Target a number of Spell and Trap Cards on the field up to the number of Normal Monsters in your Graveyard plus one; destroy those targets.

"I have two Normal Monsters in my Graveyard: the Priestess Who Receives the Star Chalice and Cosmo Spellcaster Rabbit. That gives me two plus one, for a total of three Spell and Trap Cards I can destroy."

From somewhere in the vicinity of the destroyed card pile, Eve's voice surfaced. "Even at the very end you are still finding uses for me!"

Amano drew on the power of both Normal Monsters resting in the Graveyard, and Radiant Storm Dragon channeled it into something approaching the scale of the legendary Heavy Storm itself. The resulting dragon gale swept across all three of Masayo's Set cards simultaneously and reduced them to scattered light.

Synchro Deflection: destroyed.

Magic Drain: destroyed.

Zombie Reborn: destroyed.

Masayo raised her arm against the wind pressure, squinting through the gale as her entire back row disintegrated. She was still standing, and she was still refusing to break.

"Amano. Even after destroying my entire back row, Radiant Storm Dragon only has 2700 ATK. You cannot beat Yoko with that. This is not over."

"Who said this is my last Synchro Summon?"

"What?"

"Have you forgotten what is sleeping in my Graveyard?"

Amano reached into his Graveyard zone and produced a card. It was the Shiranui Solitaire that Tsuchigumo's mill effect had sent there during Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon's multi-attack sequence. The first Shiranui Solitaire, the one used to Synchro Summon Black Rose Dragon, had been banished by Royal Soul Harmony. This was the second.

"Wait. Shiranui Solitaire was banished by Royal Soul Harmony, so how..." Masayo's voice trailed into silence. She had just understood something that made her entire certainty about this duel shift underneath her. "You have two copies of Shiranui Solitaire."

The Shiranui Solitaire banished by Royal Soul Harmony was the copy that Tsuchigumo's mill had sent to the Graveyard. Amano's Deck had contained two copies from the beginning.

"That is impossible. The Nanki'in family has only ever had one copy of the Solitaire. If you have two, it proves at least one of them is not theirs."

Which meant at least one of the Shiranui Solitaires belonged to Amano himself.

"Is it... your own Solitaire?" Masayo said it a moment too late.

"A little late to figure that out, Jinguuji-senpai. Shiranui Solitaire's Graveyard effect activates."

Shiranui Solitaire's defining capability: Graveyard Synchro Summon.

When this card is in the Graveyard: target 1 non-Tuner Zombie-Type monster in your Graveyard; banish both that target and this card from the Graveyard, then Special Summon 1 Zombie-Type Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck with a Level equal to the combined Levels of the banished monsters. This effect cannot be activated during the turn this card was sent to the Graveyard.

"I banish Level 2 Shiranui Solitaire and Level 8 Zombie Shining Colossus Dragon from the Graveyard. Combined Level: ten. Zombie Synchro Summon."

In that moment, the fire that was truly and solely Shiranui's own blazed into existence. Not the cold star-light of Shining Colossus Dragon. Not the borrowed luminescence of a Dragon Synchro. This was the fire that had faced the Mayakashi across the span of card history, the ancestral blaze that had hunted down demons since the first time a Shiranui card was printed.

A column of fire ascended from the Graveyard zone. It took the shape of the sun. The sound of a fiery horse calling cut through the night air.

Level 2 plus Level 8. Ten.

"Heavenly fire of the sun, burn across the open sea! Golden Crow, forge your burning form!"

"With the true flame of the solar wheel, reduce every false demon and false god to nothing!"

"Synchro Summon. Level 10."

"Shiranui Sunsaga!"

Shiranui Sunsaga. Level 10, FIRE, Zombie/Synchro/Effect.

ATK: 3500. DEF: 0.

Born from the solar wheel, the supreme Shiranui Synchro manifested riding a horse of condensed golden-red flame, its ATK in this duel surpassing Blue-Eyes White Dragon one final time.

Every Mayakashi card in Masayo's Deck seemed to shiver.

"Shiranui Sunsaga." Her voice had lost its steadiness. "You can actually Synchro Summon the strongest Shiranui of all."

In the history written between these cards, the hunters and the demons had always been destined to meet. The cards in her Deck recognized what stood across the field from them, and the resonance ran deeper than rules or game mechanics.

"Is that... is that the Sunsaga?" Yukki, standing to the side, had gone very still.

Her memories from the night of the possession were fragmented. But in the final moments before Onikiri's hold had fully consumed her, when her own sense of self had been slipping away into nothing, something blazing and golden had cut through the darkness and pulled her back. The strongest Shiranui Synchro had reached her through the haze.

She had not known, until this moment, that it had been Amano who summoned it.

Amano's voice was steady, focused. "Shiranui Sunsaga's effect activates."

When this card is Special Summoned: Select any number of Zombie-Type Synchro Monsters from your Graveyard or your banished cards and return them to the Extra Deck. Then destroy that same number of your opponent's cards on the field.

"I return the banished Shining Colossus Dragon to my Extra Deck. One monster returned. One card destroyed."

"Solar Scepter. Eternal Blaze!"

The great katana forged of solar fire swung in an arc that carried the full weight of a destined confrontation, the blade that had been cutting through demons since long before anyone in this garden was alive. One clean strike for one card.

Yoko, the Graceful Mayakashi: destroyed.

"And that is the end, Jinguuji Masayo. Radiant Storm Dragon, attack!"

"Aurora Gale!"

Fire and storm, one after the other. In the aftermath of Yoko's destruction, Radiant Storm Dragon's wind assault found Oboro-guruma, the Wheeled Mayakashi, still holding its Defense Position.

Oboro-guruma, the Wheeled Mayakashi: destroyed.

"And the final strike. Shiranui Sunsaga, direct attack."

The fiery horse galloped forward, and Shiranui Sunsaga traced a blazing path across the open air, every ounce of gathered momentum and flame converging into the arc of the final blow.

"Cycle Scar. Fated Flame Slash!"

A detonation of solar fire and light descended on the now-empty field, dispersing every last trace of demonic spirit that had been haunting the Nanki'in estate garden throughout the duel, burning them away with the cleanest, most absolute heat.

Masayo LP: 3200 to 0.

One card. Done.

DUEL END.

WINNER: AMANO REI.

Amano checked his Eva Terminal balance out of habit. 123,000 Eva Points. Then the counter ticked up: 123,300. He was still 700 points short of the Ghost Ogre and Snow Rabbit asking price. Except that was no longer a problem, given that he was apparently dealing directly with a wholesale Ghost Ogre supplier.

Jinguuji Masayo. Affection up 20. Total: 55.

Nanki'in Yukki. Affection up 3. Total: 68.

Twenty points in one duel. That was a considerable jump for someone starting at thirty-five.

Amano looked across the field at Masayo as the holographic monsters dissolved.

He turned the thought over genuinely. Was it Sakuya she was attached to, or was it Shiranui?
