Yusako, carrying a satchel, stepped forward and spoke. "Daughters of Ribwan frodo , the time has come. Today we will learn whether you can truly inherit the power of the golden cube."
From his bag, he produced a ceremonial staff, its polished surface gleaming under the chamber's light. "Both of you—hold this staff together and approach the vortex beneath the cubes."
But Aiden raised a hand. "Wait. Let me demonstrate first."
He pulled from his cloak a staff nearly identical to Yusako's, then walked calmly to the glowing spiral beneath the cubes. He lowered the tip of his staff into the vortex. At once, the swirling light turned a luminous green.
"This is how it works," Aiden explained. "If the vortex glows red, it means rejection. The cubes will not accept you. But if it glows green, you are chosen. That is the only way."
Luna : " Then we will never know unless we try "
" Exactly "
Together, Yuna and Luna wrapped their hands around the staff, their fingers brushing against each other's. They exchanged a steady look.
Luna : "Let's do this,"
Yuna "Yes, together "
They stepped toward the vortex, lowering the staff until its tip touched the glowing spiral.
Instantly, the light blazed red.

But then, before despair could set in, the red faded to green—only to flicker back to red again. Back and forth it went, pulsing between rejection and acceptance.
The seconds stretched unbearably. A full three minutes passed, each heartbeat heavier than the last. The twins squeezed their eyes shut, unwilling to look.
And then Klaus's voice rang out: "It is done. You have succeeded."
Yuna and Luna opened their eyes. The vortex glowed a steady, unwavering green.
The twins had been chosen.

Aiden : "This happened to me as well. The racing heartbeat, the shortness of breath—even the shifting colors. You've experienced what I once did."
Luna : "So it was as though you were watching your own story replay itself."
"Exactly. But nothing compares to the first time,"
Yuna : "Thank God… it worked."
Yusako : "Rejoice, Yuna Ribwan and Luna Ribwan . From this day onward, you are officially bearers of the golden cube. You will stand beside Aiden in filling the forty-eight slots "
Yuna and Luna nodded in unison. "We will."
And so, the experiment ended in triumph. Yusako and Klaus departed for their homes, while Aiden returned to his palace, taking the twins with him.

Many heirs journeyed to Kinai, especially those who once served under the National Division. Stability began to return to the fractured world.
Two weeks later, Aiden sat upon his throne in his palace. A servant approached, bowing. "My lord, a man called Yusako waits for you at the gate. He says he has come to speak with you."
Aiden : "Tell him I will meet him there."
He descended to the gates and found Yusako waiting. They clasped hands warmly.
Aiden : "So, how are you and Klaus?"
Yusako : "As always , We work, we rest, life continues. And you?"
"For me, it has been something of a holiday, Teaching Yuna and Luna to harness the golden cube, filling it alongside them… it has been exhausting."
"Then I understand—you've learned teaching is no simple matter."
"Indeed."
"But enough of that," Yusako said, reaching into his pocket. He drew out several folded sheets of paper and handed them over. "There is something you must see."
Aiden's eyes narrowed as he unfolded the pages. "Bloodwork results? For Yuna and Luna?"
"Yes," Yusako confirmed gravely. "We ran arterial tests."
"And why?"
"Because three days ago, they came to us with… troubling symptoms."
Aiden froze. "Symptoms?"
"They said their hearts sometimes beat in strange, violent rhythms."
Aiden's grip on the papers tightened, his lips parting in unease.
Yusako continued, his voice steady. "After extensive tests, the physician reached a conclusion. Yuna and Luna, as identical twins, share not only the rare bloodline of Tominako Reed but also its division. Each of them inherited half his power—an occurrence so rare it may never happen again. Because of this and because of the golden cube's energy… their hearts are now linked."
Aiden's eyes widened.
"Yes," Yusako said. "If one heart stops, the other will stop as well. And worse—they both suffer from hemophilia, a dangerous condition. Add to that the stress they've endured and their organs are weakening. They are at risk of sudden cardiac arrest."
Aiden's breath hitched. "Th-this… this isn't certain, is it?"
"I'm afraid it is," Yusako said softly. "Our physician has decades of experience."
"No… no, perhaps he misread the data, perhaps the results—"
"Aiden, do not humiliate yourself. It is the truth."
Silence fell. The mighty leader bowed his head, trembling, before finally whispering: "Do they know?"
"Yes , I told them myself. And their reaction… was unlike anything I've ever seen "
After Yosaku told Luna and Yuna the test results, Luna asked, "Do you mean — for example — if I die and my heart stops, will Yuna die too and her heart stop because of our use of the stupid cube?"
Yosaku: "It's the golden cube, not the stupid cube. And yes, that's what I meant."
" Well that was clear just as we expected "
" What ? "
"As you heard, we both expected this to happen."
"Are you saying that you knew that filling the slots would harm you, but you still did it?"
Yuna and Luna remained silent, implying an answer of yes.
He repeated his question
" Why did you accept this task if it was so dangerous? Your health is at risk, as the tests indicate. How do you expect me and the others to feel about you being exposed to this ? " Yuna : " What would you have done if you were in our place, Yusaku? Would you have just run away and risked the extinction of our kind for your own life?"
"We could have found someone else."
Yuna added with quick
"Or perhaps we couldn't."
Yosaku fell silent to hear her out.
She continued, "We didn't want to risk all the heirs of the wonder-stones dying in one day. That's not a small thing and we have friends among them we want to keep safe."
Luna: "Sacrifice is a trait of noble people. The good side is that we'll die together — and that's fine with us or more it make us happy ."
Yosaku: "Wait — I have an idea. Stop using your powers for more than a month and Reed's powers will disappear from you."
"Unfortunately, that didn't work."
"It didn't? Do you mean you actually tried?"
"Yes, Yosaku. We tried stopping for much longer than a month but Reed's powers stayed with us."
Yuna: "We're perhaps the only ones whose powers only go away if we die."
Yosaku was quiet. Then Yuna said, "Honestly, I'm not surprised you reacted the way you did but we want to ask you something."
Yosaku: "What is it?"
"How many people know what you told us?"
"Right now , only me and the doctor"
"Good. Don't tell anyone else and ask the doctor to keep it secret too."
"You won't even tell your family or friends?" Yosaku asked.
Luna: "No. We won't tell them — only the three of us here and the doctor will know."
"But…"
"Please, grant our request."
Yuna: "We beg you, Yosaku."
Yosaku fell silent, looked at the two girls with pity and remembered their sacrifices and hard work. Their request seemed small compared to what they had done. He closed his eyes, smiled and said
"All right. I promise I'll keep this secret and it won't leak to anyone else. But I want to tell Aiden, if you don't mind."
Luna: "Yes, we don't mind. Thank you."

Time passed. Yuna married Jayden, and together they had a son named ( Bressol ) , Luna married Tristan and they had a daughter named ( Meridian )
Jayden and Tristan became close friends—and neighbors too—because the twins refused to be separated. They wanted to live side by side, so each one could watch over the other.
At last, the members of Kaos Team, their families and their friends lived in peace.
