Possibly, one from each element to make it happen.
But now he could see he was wrong. All he needed were the four major talents, and their extremities would birth the rest.
When he wielded the earth element at one of its peak states, he could feel a connection to the metal element.
When nurtured, he had a feeling he could tap into that element in the future as well, and more than that, refine it to make it just as strong as his earth element.
All with time and practice. Same as his darkness. With it, he could forge a path to the light element.
Ice would bring water, and water would birth healing and so much more.
The last being flames. With their ferocious intensity, they would birth thunderous lightning.
