On hearing her words, an amused glint flashed across Ulric's eyes.
He had seen the burning curiosity within her barely a few moments ago. Had it just... fizzled away?
If it were another time, he would probably have been a little surprised. But as events unfolded, he had come to find Aelira's personality growing more unpredictable with every passing day, and maybe he liked it that way.
But that didn't matter now. A twisted smile spread across his face as Ulric turned to face Aelira. Before she could even react, he grabbed her tightly, leaning forward to whisper into her ear.
"Since you're here... why don't we have a little fun?"
"Huh?" Aelira blinked, a little startled, clearly not expecting such a quick turn of events.
Her mouth opened, trying to reason with him. They were in the middle of the wastelands, where danger could arise at any moment. This hardly seemed appropriate.
