She muttered in utter disbelief as she watched the man in the silver mask stride to the platform to stand beside Alpha Magnus. Luna could not believe her eyes.
Or were they playing tricks on her?
The Lycan King must be old and shaky by now, but the man in front of her was agile and looked no older than thirty. How could the silver-masked man be the king? She felt her lips go dry when she felt his lingering gaze on her.
Luna felt a flutter in her chest as she clutched her dress, searching for something to calm her racing heart.
He had been with her all this time. How could she not have noticed? She had seen the signs but still waited. Was she waiting for a wonder? Luna wondered to herself.
It was then she noticed that everyone was caught up in their own feelings. She had been so swept up in his world that she had forgotten about everyone else. As if lost in a trance, he had captured her body and soul.
