Caelum's POV:
I stopped her before she could walk out, holding her tightly as if I wasn't going to let her go.
Even though this is dangerous, even though I am supposed to stop before this gets out of hand, I don't want to.
She had always been mine.
"I am sorry, Caelum—"
"Why are you sorry? That isn't the response I want from you," I cut her off before standing up, our eyes piercing through each other.
I leaned to her height, then moved the strand of hair covering a part of her face.
"Look me in the eyes and tell me you were really sorry about what happened earlier," I demanded, my voice low, as if it was meant to be heard by just Liora, not even the passing air. "Liora!"
"Fine, I am not sorry for what happened," her voice finally cut through the thick silence in the dining room.
