Kai wakes up screaming.
No drones.
No sirens.
No countdown burning on his wrist.
Just his bedroom.
Morning sunlight spills across the wall. His phone shows today's date. Messages from friends. Missed calls from his mother.
Normal.
Kai laughs—once.
Then he notices something wrong.
On his desk lies a playing card.
Not glowing. Not digital.
Real.
Blank.
His phone vibrates.
UNKNOWN SYSTEM:
Congratulations. You have cleared Season One.
Kai's hands shake.
He looks out the window.
Across the city, every digital screen flickers for half a second.
RESET COMPLETE.
Chapter 2 – ♦ ZERO
School feels unreal.
Everyone moves like nothing ever happened. Laughing. Complaining. Living.
Kai sits in class, counting breaths, watching wrists.
Nothing.
Then the door opens.
A transfer student steps in.
She freezes the moment she sees Kai.
Her face goes pale.
Slowly—carefully—she pulls back her sleeve.
On her wrist is a symbol burned into her skin:

Kai stands up so fast his chair crashes.
The teacher shouts his name.
The girl stares straight at Kai and whispers:
"They're testing forgetting now."
The lights flicker.
For exactly one second, every student in the class goes still.
The girl smiles sadly.
"If you remember too much," she says,
"this world kills you quietly."
The bell rings.
No one notices anything.
Except Kai.
And somewhere far above the sky—
Something marks his name again.
