The battle was inevitable. Andreas' soldiers fought amid the protective layer Laura had created around their bodies. But Laura's protective layer was not enough to withstand the attacks from the numerous wizards. Laura coughed and fell to her knees. Blood spurted from her mouth.
"Your Majesty, Miss Ailee... I beg you not to hurt them," said Laura with the last of her strength.
"Surrender, Miss Laura. Come back with us and complete the ritual," said King Phillipe. His eyes radiated arrogance and hatred towards Laura.
"What ritual?! You can't just take our Luna!" Beta Xander shouted in the midst of the battle. He darted quickly and tore the heads off the masked soldiers one by one. Beta Xander killed ten enemies. His agility and speed in killing were below Alpha Andreas', but it proved his formidable strength.
"Luna, please don't listen to them. Stay by Alpha Andreas' side."
"I am your enemy, Beta Xander," said the leader of the masked army. They attacked each other, and the army leader swung his sword. Beta Xander was surprised when he suddenly saw the masked leader behind him, who quickly slashed Beta Xander's right hand.
Beta Xander immediately transformed into his werewolf form, his left leg numb and tingling. He roared and clawed at the masked leader's body.
Miss Ailee smiled crookedly. "If King Phillipe wants you to be a vessel for the vampires, you must obey, Laura. You are my subordinate. I am the one who protects and cares for you and your brother. Didn't you promise to hunt werewolves together?! Don't forget your brother's promise of loyalty to me, Laura. You... must dedicate your life to obeying my orders!" Miss Ailee's purple eyes shone brightly. On her forehead was a wizard's mark that glowed yellow. The ground shook, the clouds suddenly turned black, and a strong wind blew as if it wanted to blow away Xander's Beta troops.
"I can't, Miss Ailee. After all, I am Alpha Andreas' mate."
Miss Ailee then said arrogantly, "Fine, if you are so stubborn. Let me make you see sense!"
Miss Ailee then launched a black magic attack at Laura. However, Laura immediately disappeared and had moved to another location. Laura felt every inch of her body burning, an attack that pinned Laura down by Miss Ailee. Laura screamed in pain. As a result, Laura fell because she couldn't avoid Miss Ailee's attack.
Suddenly, a thunderclap echoed above the clouds, then the lightning struck and hit Miss Ailee. This startled Miss Ailee, causing her to cough up blood. She clutched her chest, which felt excruciatingly painful.
"Dare to harm my mate, and I will destroy you," Andreas stepped toward Miss Ailee and spoke calmly. Miss Ailee screamed in pain without mercy as the lightning struck her again, causing her to fall and become helpless. Laura, who witnessed this, was silent, as if she couldn't believe it.
Miss Ailee, Laura thought as memories of her past with Miss Ailee and her brother came flooding back. Laura shed tears.
Alpha Andreas glanced at his remaining troops. And Beta Xander, who had lost his left hand after successfully killing the masked leader of the troops.
"Alpha Andreas," King Phillipe greeted him with a condescending smile. In his heart, he wondered where Alpha Andreas' black lightning ability came from. Clearly, they were just a nation of wolves, but they had abilities that were beyond their limits.
Alpha Andreas smiled crookedly.
"You've finally arrived, Alpha. Are you enjoying this forbidden relationship that will even destroy the Immortal?!" King Phillipe tried to provoke him.
Andreas snorted at King Phillipe's words. "How could I abandon the destiny that has been outlined by the Moon Goddess... Your opinions and advice are useless to me... On the contrary, your presence in the midst of the war between the vampire race and my race is a question that has never been answered. But even so, I will gladly finish you all off," said Alpha Andreas calmly, but his aura was thick with murder.

King Phillipe attacked Alpha Andreas with magic, but Alpha Andreas did not budge, even absorbing the attack into himself.

King Phillipe then came up with a cunning plan. He looked at Laura, then took out a dagger from his right hand and quickly pulled the woman's body in front of him.
"Don't come near me, or I'll kill your mate," King Phillipe said with a slight tremor. Laura, who had become a hostage, looked at Alpha Andreas with an indescribable gaze. King Phillipe held a shiny dagger to her neck. Laura's tears could not be held back. Now, Laura hoped that Alpha Andreas would care more about his own people than her.
