While Vini was tickling me, I was laughing and pleading, "Stop it, Vini! Enough, please stop!" Finally, she stopped. Then she said, "Oh Hasini, I forgot to tell you—did you know? The CEO fired our office manager!"
I was shocked and asked, "But why? Why would the CEO fire the manager?"
Vini explained, "It turns out the manager is a fake. Apparently, our company's rival, Miss Lia, secretly planted him here." When I asked why, she continued, "To steal the details of our upcoming Legend of Hero gaming project. Our President suspected something was off with the manager's behavior over the last three days, so he installed a hidden camera in his room. Yesterday, at the party held to celebrate the CEO taking charge—which you didn't attend—the CEO saw proof that the manager was Miss Lia's mole and was planning to sabotage us."
She went on, "This morning, the CEO went to the manager's room, showed him the CCTV footage as proof, and fired him on the spot. Because the manager tried to ruin the company, the CEO lost his temper and hit him. The manager hit back in anger, and a huge fight broke out. The CEO literally fought him all the way down to the ground floor before finally letting him go."
Vini told me the whole story in great detail, mentioning how the CEO took out his grudge because of Miss Lia's scheme. Suddenly, I remembered the handsome guy I had fought with earlier. A terrifying thought flashed through my mind: "Oh no... what if that 'psycho' I hit is actually the CEO of this company?"
The fear took over, and I involuntarily screamed at the top of my lungs, "NO! NO! THAT CAN'T HAPPEN!"
Vini and everyone else in the office jumped as if an earthquake had hit. They all covered their ears because I had screamed so loud the entire building could hear me.
Vini opened her eyes, looked around in confusion, and tried to bring me back to my senses. "Hasini! Hasini! Look at what you've done! Everyone is terrified because of your screaming!" I looked around at the staring faces and just stood there, mouth agape in total shock.
