Worse, he was a bloodthirsty psycho who actually relished violence—otherwise, he wouldn't be wearing that expression.
Nate suddenly regretted provoking Mark.
No—this entire mission was completely out of mind!
But it was far too late for regrets.
At this point, Nate had been beaten to a pulp, left without an ounce of strength to fight back. Mark gestured toward Suzy, signaling her to come over.
"Coming," Suzy answered, quickening her pace as she approached.
Mark glanced at Suzy as she neared, then looked back down at Nate, who was sprawled out like a dead dog. After a moment's thought, he decided it was better to err on the side of caution.
He had to prevent Nate from pulling any dirty tricks.
"Don't come over just yet," Mark called out to Suzy.
Not far off, Suzy was somewhat puzzled by his words, but she halted her steps nonetheless.
